The European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM) 2021 was a significant awareness-raising initiative coordinated by ENISA (European Union Agency for Cybersecurity). Cinergies Co-Op, in collaboration with A.P.S. Maghweb, was responsible for the conceptualization, production, and dissemination of key audiovisual content for the campaign. Our team produced a series of videos designed to educate the public on cybersecurity best practices, particularly focusing on the theme “Be Cyber-Secure at Home.”
The videos, which formed the centerpiece of the audiovisual campaign, were widely distributed across multiple platforms, contributing to the campaign’s overall success. In addition we produced interactive educational content that accompanied the campaign such as quiz informational pages and promotional material.

Objectives:
The primary objective of the ECSM 2021 project was to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity, particularly in the context of home environments, which have become increasingly vulnerable due to the rise of remote work. Cinergies Co-Op was tasked with creating a series of videos that would effectively communicate the risks and necessary precautions related to cybersecurity along with interactive educational content that accompanied the campaign such as quiz informational pages and promotional material..
– Educate the Public: Produce engaging content that educates viewers on cybersecurity risks and how to mitigate them.
– Support the Campaign: Provide high-quality audiovisual and educational material that would be central to the ECSM’s public outreach efforts and undertake their promotion in association with APS Maghweb.
– Ensure Engagement: Develop content that resonates with a diverse audience, ensuring broad engagement across the EU.
Methodology:
The content creation process began with extensive research into cybersecurity risks associated with home networks, password management, and device security. Based on this research, our team developed a narrative structure for a series of four interconnected videos. Each video was designed to illustrate a specific cybersecurity threat and the steps individuals can take to protect themselves.
– Script Development: Collaborated closely with cybersecurity experts and expert screenwriter Alex Moran to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the content.
– Production: Filming took place primarily at our studios, with a combination of live-action scenes and advanced visual effects to create a compelling narrative.
– Post-Production: The videos were carefully edited and enhanced with visual effects to maintain viewer engagement and effectively convey the campaign’s message.
Outcomes:
The videos and educational material produced by Cinergies Co-Op played a critical role in the ECSM 2021 campaign, helping to increase public awareness about cybersecurity. The videos were disseminated across various digital platforms, contributing to the campaign’s reach and effectiveness.
